Feeling burnt out or overstretched? Tired of “doing it all”? Are you a perfectionist or a people pleaser? Maybe you’ve achieved everything you thought would make you happy, but continue to feel empty, exhausted, and anxious. Individuals I work with are seeking more connection, deepened understanding of self, and increased self-compassion.

  • Therapy for Religious Trauma & Purity Culture

Have you been hurt by a faith community or experienced religious trauma? Feeling confused by something that once held deep meaning? Did you grow up experiencing sexual shame? Or rigid beliefs around gender, sexuality, and modesty? I offer a secure and steady presence to wade through grief, confusion, and exploration.

  • Teen & Adolescent Therapy

Feeling misunderstood, stretched too thin, or struggling with your body image? Is there new tension as your teen asks for more independence? Teens I work with often want to lower their symptoms and enjoy their life.

  • Sex & Intimacy Therapy

Sex and intimacy therapy is for couples or individuals. We can explore rigid beliefs, purity culture, desire discrepancy, non-monogamy, past abuse, or sexual anxiety. There is no TMI and no judgement - I’m here to support you in the pursuit of and exploration of pleasure.

  • Therapy for Infidelity & Affairs

When trust is broken, everything feels uncertain and unsettling. You might feel disconnected and alone, sitting in the pain of broken trust, disbelief, and disconnection. Recovering from infidelity and betrayals is possible. I offer a space to explore negative patterns, understand what happened, find and create stability, learn to communicate honestly and effectively, and begin the slow, gentle process of renewing trust.

Meet Kelsey Lucido

LMFTA (pending), MDiv // she/ her

My name is Kelsey and I believe in the power of connection to help us grow and heal. I offer therapy for couples, teens (13+), and adult individuals virtually throughout Washington.

I am a recovering perfectionist and a human that is trying to heal loudly. As a therapist I bring all parts of myself to the space. I value collaboration, compassion, warmth, and humor. I’m a relational therapist and I help people become more connected to themselves, which allows for deeper, more authentic, and vulnerable connections with others.

When we can be our true, authentic selves we’re more able and willing to venture into the unknown, do the hard thing, explore our creativity and whimsy, and acknowledge our own growth and resilience.

My therapeutic focuses are couples therapy, therapy for infidelity and affairs, therapy for teens, therapy for high achievers, and therapy for religious trauma and deconstruction.

“I'm not telling you to make the world better, because I don't think that progress is necessarily part of the package. I'm just telling you to live in it. Not just to endure it, not just to suffer it, not just to pass through it, but to live in it.”

- Joan Didion

How do I get started?

Reaching out is the first step!

Schedule a free 20-minute consult call here!

From there we will determine right fit and schedule your first session!

What should I expect in a consult call & first session?

Great question! During the consult call I’ll share about my process for therapy and you will tell me what you’re hoping to work on and process. We’ll see if we connect and schedule from there.

The first session is mainly me getting to know you - your family, your current context, relationships, if you’ve been in therapy before, medical history, and your spiritual context. I’ll also go over my therapy practice in greater detail and go through all the informed consent packet that you’ll receive prior to the first session.
